VUOI Services

Ring Resizing Service

A considered adjustment, made with care.

A ring should feel natural, secure, comfortable, and true to the moment it represents.

Restoring comfort, balance, and ease

Whether your piece feels slightly loose, a little firm, or no longer sits as it once did, VUOI offers a considered ring resizing service to help restore its comfort, balance, and ease.

Each ring is individually assessed by our jewellery specialists, with attention to its structure, setting, stones, metal, and long-term integrity.

Before we begin

Every piece is assessed with care

Not every ring can be resized in the same way. Some designs, settings, gemstones, engravings, or metal types may require additional care, while certain pieces may have resizing limitations.

Before any work begins, our team will assess your ring and advise what is possible, what we recommend, and whether any additional restoration or reinforcement may be needed.

Our priority is always the integrity of your piece, preserving its beauty, structure, and wearability over time.

What the service includes

A careful process from assessment to finish

Ring size assessment

We help confirm your current size and preferred fit, considering how the ring feels in everyday wear.

Jewellery condition check

Your ring is reviewed for structure, stones, setting style, metal type, and any signs of wear before resizing is approved.

Specialist recommendation

We advise whether resizing is suitable, how much adjustment is possible, and whether any additional care is required.

Professional resizing

Where possible, your ring is carefully resized by a skilled jeweller with respect for its original form and finish.

Finishing and polishing

After resizing, your piece is refined and finished so it returns to you feeling renewed.

Final quality check

Before collection or return, we review the fit, finish, and integrity of the ring to ensure it meets VUOI standards.

How it works

From request to return

Begin your request

Share a few details about your ring, including its current fit, the size you believe you need, and whether the piece was purchased from VUOI.

You may also include photos of the ring so our team can better understand its design, setting, and condition before your visit or send-in.

Helpful details to include: current ring size, desired ring size, metal type if known, any gemstones, and whether the ring feels too loose, too firm, or uneven in fit.

Bring in or send your ring

Once your request has been received, our team will guide you on the next step. You may bring your ring to our Double Bay boutique for an in-person consultation, or arrange to send your piece to us for assessment.

For pieces sent to VUOI, we recommend using a secure and trackable delivery method.

Boutique option: Visit our Double Bay boutique for a personal fit review and initial guidance.
Send-in option: Send your ring to us for specialist assessment. Our team will confirm the recommended process before any work begins.

Assessment and recommendation

Your ring will be carefully assessed by our jewellery specialists. We review the structure, setting, stones, metal, width, existing wear, and the amount of adjustment required.

Not every ring can be resized in the same way. Some designs, including eternity bands, delicate stone-set bands, engraved pieces, or certain settings, may have resizing limitations.

After assessment, we will advise what is possible, what we recommend, and whether any additional care may be required before resizing.

Approval and resizing

Once the recommendation and quote are confirmed, resizing will only begin with your approval.

Your ring is then entrusted to a skilled jeweller, who will resize the piece with care for its original design, proportions, comfort, and long-term integrity.

Where needed, the ring may also be refined, polished, or strengthened as part of the finishing process.

Final check and return

Before your ring is returned, it undergoes a final quality check. We review the size, comfort, finish, setting security, and overall condition of the piece to ensure it is ready to be worn again with confidence.

Your ring may then be collected from our Double Bay boutique or returned to you by secure delivery.

Frequently asked questions

Before you resize your ring

Can every ring be resized?

Not always. Some rings have design or material limitations that may affect whether resizing is possible. Eternity bands, gemstone-set bands, plated pieces, intricate designs, engravings, or certain settings may require additional assessment before resizing can be approved.

Our team will carefully review your ring and advise what is possible before any work begins.

How long does resizing take?

Most ring resizing services are completed within 3–5 business days after assessment and approval. If your ring requires additional care, restoration, stone tightening, polishing, or specialist work, our team will advise you of the expected timeframe before proceeding.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome at our Double Bay boutique. You are welcome to visit us in store for an initial fit review, sizing guidance, and service consultation. For more complex pieces, your ring may still need to be assessed by our jewellery specialists before resizing is confirmed.

Can I resize a ring not purchased from VUOI?

Yes. VUOI can assess and resize rings that were not purchased from us. Each piece will be reviewed individually to ensure resizing is suitable for its design, metal, setting, stones, and overall condition.

Will resizing affect my warranty?

For VUOI pieces, our team will advise whether resizing may affect your warranty before any work begins.

For rings not purchased from VUOI, resizing is assessed as a standalone service. Any existing third-party warranty from the original jeweller or brand may be affected, so we recommend checking their terms before proceeding.

In all cases, our priority is to protect the integrity, comfort, and longevity of your piece.
